Our Team

Dr. Melissa Luhrs

Clinic Director and Founder

As a child, Dr. Melissa frequently battled sinus infections and a swimming-related sports injury, which led her to a chiropractor. This positive experience sparked her interest in a healthcare career, eventually guiding her to choose chiropractic.

Education and Professional Qualifications

Dr. Melissa graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She has pursued additional studies and including a diplomate program in neurology. Among her most memorable patients was a quadriplegic who, initially unable to move, regained limb control and could walk with the assistance of a cane.

Her qualifications also include a certificate in Functional Analysis Chiropractic Technique (FACT), certification in the Webster Technique from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and she is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner.

Making the Most of Life in McFarland

In her spare time, Dr. Melissa enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and traveling with her husband. They aim to visit all the national parks and take annual road trips to explore various sites across the country. She is an active member of the Chiropractic Society of Wisconsin, the McFarland Chamber of Commerce, and the Madison Business Forum.

Dr. Melissa is deeply committed to being your health advocate. Having overcome two different cancer diagnoses, she is passionate about supporting others in their health struggles. This dedication inspired the name Health Journey Chiropractic for her clinic.
